Purchase Terms & Conditions
All deposits are applied toward the final puppy purchase price.

Please contact NXG Homestead to assure proper deposit handling and reservation of your selection.
Normally, deposits are non-refundable.
(Please review "refusal to sell" and "refunds" below)
RESERVATION FEE
(For unborn litters and puppies less then 6 weeks old.)
A non-refundable $50.00 reservation fee guarantees a selection from any current or future litter whelped within two years. Once the fee is received, you will receive notification of each whelping within 72 hrs, and weekly progress notes, w/photos, on the litter beginning at 2 days old. Additionally, you may be notified about adoptable adolescent or adult dogs as they become available. NXG Homestead will not release any puppy until it is vet checked and given it's health guarantee at 8 weeks. Selection order is determined by date/time reservation fees are received, 1st received gets 1st pick.
PUPPY DEPOSIT
(Puppies 6 weeks old and older.)
A deposit of $250 is required to continue to hold a puppy at 6 weeks.
Our puppies remain with their mother until they are at least 2 months old.
Our puppies will be released only after they are vet checked, administered their 1st set shots, and given their health certificate.
Any remaining balance for the puppy is due when the puppy is received.
Unless otherwise agreed, reserved but unclaimed puppies may be re-offered for sale once the puppy is 12 weeks old. Deposits for unclaimed puppies are never refundable.
Puppies will be considered abandoned and all monies forfeit when the puppy reaches three months old and the buyer either failed to communicate with NXG Homestead or agrees to additional care requirements. Abondoned puppies may be sold or adopted out at the discretion of NXG Homestead.
No compensation, neither deposit return nor credit, will be considered for abandoned puppies.
PAYMENT PLANS
All payment plans must be complete before the dog/puppy leaves the possession of NXG Homestead.
Payments may be paid in weekly or bi-weekly payments (payment amount will be agreed upon). We try and work out what best works for the buyer.
Any and all payments made before the actual purchase of the puppy are considered deposits and are non-refundable, but transferable between available puppies.
RETURN DEPOSITS
Deposits are normally non-refundable, but will be considered on a case by case basis. NXG Homestead may, at its sole option, issue a credit, not exceeding the deposit value, to be applied when making a future puppy purchase or terrier adoption from NXG Homestead
Reservation fees are only considered when no puppy was available (demand exceeded supply).
GUARANTEES
Health Warranties: Please see "Our Puppy Warranty" page.
Weight Guarantee: NXG Homestead does NOT guarantee the weight of a puppy. NXG Homestead only gives that of an estimate on what the adult weight on a puppy will be.
Color & Markings: NXG Homestead does NOT guarantee color or markings on puppies.
REGISTRATIONS
Registration application(s) will be provided to the buyer upon pick up of the puppy. All AKC (American Kennel Club) registrations will be "Limited" unless otherwise agreed to between buyer and NXG Homestead. A fee of 10% of the purchase price will be added to the balance if NXG Homestead agrees to allow "Full" AKC registration of a puppy.
SPAY & NEUTER AGREEMENT
Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing all puppies are required to be spayed or neutered by six months of age.
REFUNDS (for puppies/dogs no longer covered by their 48 Hour, 14-Day Guarantee or 1 Year Health Guarantee - see your contract for details regarding your guarantees)
An animal sale is a cash transaction and sales are considered final at time of purchase. NXG Homestead may, at its sole discretion, issue a purchase credit in place of a refund. Refunds and credits, partial or total, are available only to the original purchaser and are considered only for puppies or dogs returned for the below listed situations:
6MN-GOOD HEALTH: A partial refund or credit, up to 50% of the purchase price, may be considered for puppies returned, less than six months old. Puppies must be current with all vaccinations, and a Health Certificate, dated within 30 days, signed by a licensed veterinarian, must accompany the return.
12MN-SPAY/NEUTER: A partial refund or credit, up to 25% of the purchase price may be considered for spay and neutered puppies/dogs returned, less then a (1) year old. The dog/puppy must be current with all vaccinations, documented proof of spay/neuter, and a valid Health Certifcate, dated within 30 days and signed by a licensed veterinarian, must accompany the return.

refunds and credits will be denied for any puppy and or dog returned that displays signs of: excessive aggression, or neglect, or abuse.
refunds and credits will be denied for spayed females that display signs of whelping.
refunds and credits will be denied for dogs/puppies found in an animal shelter, pound, pet store, or any public-sales/adoption situation.
refunds and credits will be denied for dogs/puppies found to have been used for fighting, facing off, game testing, rolling, or any other manner of pitting dogs.
refunds and credits will be denied to persons NXG Homestead would not knowingly sell to. See refusals below.
because of health concerns caused by improper/incomplete vaccinations and the nature of infectious diseases, strict adherence to refund conditions/policies is necessary.

An approved refund, or a purchase credit, or a denial letter will be prepared and forwarded to the original purchaser within fourteen (14) days after the puppy/dog is returned to NXG Homestead, except that approved refunds can only be forwarded after any non-cash payment has cleared the issuing facility (up to 45 days).
RETURNS
Any puppy/dog acquired from NXG Homestead, may be returned, in good health, to NXG Homestead at any time, by any person, for any reason, during its lifetime. NXG Homestead requests that any available documents, registration, and health information, accompany the terrier when it is returned.
REFUSALS
NXG Homestead reserves the right to require buyers to produce government issued identification at time of sale.
NXG Homestead reserves the right to refuse a sale to any person, for any reason.
Specifically:
NXG Homestead will not knowingly sell to dealers, brokers, breeders, shipping agents, pet shops, or any other third party.
NXG Homestead will not knowingly sell to any person who was ever charged, or convicted, by any court, for any of the following offenses: animal abuse, animal neglect, animal endangerment, child abuse, child neglect, child endangerment or spousal abuse.
Any and all monies received from parties classified by a or b above will be considered forfeit and retained by NXG Homestead.
